ABOUT
My Mum is possibly Hallmark’s best customer: A romantic, cheesy, red-ribbon-on-a-heart-shaped chocolate box kind of woman, whose favourite colours are red, red, red, pink and red. So these romantic lace and rib colour-worked socks deserve to carry her name - and some sweet colours. Constructed cuff down, they feature a contrast coloured cuff, flap and gusset heel, and Kitchener stitch toe finish, sprinkled with tiny hearts. Go on, lean in to your inner romantic, I dare you!
 
SUGGESTED YARN
(Note, Colour numbers are consistent globally but names of the colours may differ).
Main Colour (MC): Lang Jawoll Superwash Sock Yarn. 4 ply fingering weight, colour 060-Red Coral. 75% Superwash virgin wool, 25% nylon. Approx. 300-350 yards / 275- 320 meters. 
Contrast Colour (CC): Lang Jawoll Superwash Sock Yarn. 4 ply fingering weight, colour 109-Candy Pink. 75% Superwash virgin wool, 25% nylon Approx. 60-80 yards / 55-73 meters. 
 
NEEDLES
9" / 23cm short circular sized 2.25mm / US 1 for cuff and 2.75mm / US 2 for remainder of sock. Optionally Magic Loop/dpns can be used. 
 
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and for Kitchener stitch method and stitch markers.
 
GAUGE
30 stitches x 46 rows, 10 x 10cm/4 x 4" in stockinette using 2.75mm / US 2.

Knitted actual circumference of foot: 6 (7, 8)” / 15 (18, 20) cm. 
Length from cuff to beginning of heel flap: 5.25 / 13cm or to desired length.
Foot length from heel to toe: 7.5 (8.5, 9.5)” / 19 (22, 24) cm or to desired length.
